Update your task

  1. Open the Tasks list that has your task.
  2. In the Content pane, select the task that you want to change.
  3. Make the changes to the task information.
  4. Click Save.

Two ways to mark tasks as complete:

  1. Check one or more tasks to be marked complete. Right-click a task line and select Mark as Complete. The % Complete is changed to 100%.
  2. Check one or more tasks and click Mark As Complete.

The task information remains in your tasks folder.

The Calendar lets you track and schedule your appointments, meetings, and events.

Calendar includes the following features:

  1. Create different calendars
  2. Subscribe to calendars
  3. Create appointments, schedule all day events, and schedule meetings
  4. Accept/Tentative/Reject an invitation with one click
  5. View your calendar by various views, including day, 5-day work week, 7-day week, and month
  6. View multiple calendars to see potential scheduling conflicts
  7. Import and export calendars

To open the calendar view, select Calendar tab. The Work Week view is the default and is displayed when the calendar is opened the first time.

You can change which view is displayed when Calendar is opened from the Preference>Calendar tab.

You can change your view from the Calendar toolbar, to see activities for a day, work week, week, month to today.

One calendar is created for you, and you can create additional calendars to keep track of different type of functions. For example, you can create a calendar for work, for personal, and for company activities, you can subscribe to a calendar that is available on the Internet, and you can link to a calendar that is being shared with you.

  1. Select the Calendar tab.
  2. In the Calendar Overview pane, click edit.
  3. In the toolbar click New Calendar.
  4. Type the name of the calendar.
  5. Select a color to display the Calendar activities. This lets color-code calendars in your mailbox so that activities for that calendar always displays in the selected color.
  6. If you do not want the calendar activities to be viewed by others, check Exclude this calendar when reporting free/busy times.
  7. By default Checked in UI is enabled. Activities for this calendar will display when you open the Calendar view. If you do not want to see this calendar along with the other calendar, uncheck the box. In that case, to see this calendar’s activities, you select the calendar and open it.
  8. Click Create Calendar.

  1. Select the Calendar 
  2. In the Calendar Overview pane, click edit. The default calendar information is displayed.
  3. In the toolbar, click Subscribe to Calendar.
  4. Enter the name of the calendar, a valid iCal file URL for the remote calendar, and select a color to display the Calendar activities.
  5. If you do not want the calendar activities to be viewed by others, check Exclude this calendar when reporting free/busy times.
  6. By default Checked in UI is enabled. Activities for this calendar displays when you open the Calendar view. If you do not want to see this calendar along with the other calendar, uncheck the box. In that case, to see this calendar’s activities, you select the calendar and open it.

You can import iCalendars (iCal) calendars that are saved in the .ics format. iCalendars are the standard for calendar data exchange over the Internet, and .ics is the standard format for iCalendar information.
You can import your iCal calendar to an existing calendar or create a new calendar and import the .ics file to it.

To import an iCal calendar:

  1. Select the Calendar tab.
  2. In the Calendar Overview pane, click Edit.
  3. Select a calendar from the list or create a new calendar to receive the imported .ics file and click Edit.
  4. In the Import from .ICS field, browse to locate the .ics file to import.
  5. Click Import.

The Tasks feature lets you create to-do lists and manage tasks through completion. You can add tasks to the default task list, and you can create other task lists to organize your to-do lists by more specific activities, such as by work or personal projects.

As you progress on a task, you might want to add information, change the status and percentage completed, or mark the task complete.

You can sort the task list by subject, status, percentage complete, and due date.

  1. In the Task view, select a task list and in the Content pane toolbar, click the heading to sort by.

  2. In the Details section, enter the task information. Only Subject is required to give the task a name.

  • Select how you want to view your calendar. The default is by work week.
  • Specify which day of the week should be the first day of the week in your calendar.
  • In the Day/Week View section, you can set what time your calendar day starts and ends.
  • If you travel between time zones, you may want to select to Show the timezone list in the appointment view.
  • The manage calendars link takes you to the Calendar edit page where you can edit an existing calendar, add new calendars, subscribe to calendars or link to a shared calendar.

Address Book is where you can store contact details in personal address books. By default a Contacts and an Emailed Contacts address book are created for you, and you can create additional address books.

Only a name is required to create a contact in your address books, or you can create detailed contact cards that include full name, multiple email addresses, work, home, and other addresses, phone numbers, and notes about that contact. You can also create group contact lists.

The Emailed Contacts address book can be automatically populated when you send an email to a new address that is not in one of your other address books. You can disable this feature from your Preferences>Address Book tab. Remove the check from Enable auto adding of contacts.

Your email administrator can set a maximum limit for the number of entries you can have in all of your address books. When you reach this maximum, you cannot add any more contacts. However, you can delete unused contacts to free up space.

  1. Open the Address Book tab. The Overview pane displays a list of your address books.
  2. In the Address Book Overview pane, click edit.
  3. Click New Address Book.
  4. Enter the name and select the background color for the new address book.
  5. Click Create Address Book.

The new address book is listed in the Overview pane.

You can import contact lists that are in .csv format.

  1. Select the Address Book tab.
  2. In the Address Book Overview pane, click edit.
  3. In the Import from .CSV field, browse to locate the contacts .csv file to import.

You can export contact lists. It is saved in the .csv format.

  3. Select the Address Book to export

BendBroadband Internet service requires a compatible cable modem. You may rent a modem from BendBroadband or use your own. If you are looking at purchasing your own modem, it must be a Cable Labs certified DOCSIS 3.0 modem, and our tech support and field services teams are not able to provide support for customer provided modems.

Spam Filtering

Any incoming email messages determined by our system to be spam will be returned to the sender unless you change the default.  The most likely messages that would be blocked when a new filtering system is put in place are those from marketing companies or mailing lists that you previously signed up for. Sometimes the companies that run mailing lists for legitimate businesses are also used by businesses or individuals to send unsolicited email, which may get the mailing list operator placed on one or more block lists.

If you are concerned about missing any legitimate messages you may quarantine your messages for your own review.

To turn on Quarantine follow these steps:

  • log into Webmail
  • click AntiSpam Settings in the left menu.
  • Select “Normal, (w/Quarantine)”

This will send spam into your Spam Folder for review.   If you do find legitimate messages in your Spam Folder, such as those from a mailing list you subscribe to, you can easily “whitelist” the address so that it will always be delivered to your Inbox.  Simply open the message in your Spam Folder and click the “Allow Sender” link in the message options above the text. This will also transfer that particular message to your inbox.

Once you have whitelisted the addresses of any messages in your Spam Folder that you wanted to receive, you should only see spam in your Spam Folder. After a week or two, you should be able to turn off quarantine again. This is the best way to reduce the amount of spam sent to your email address. By leaving quarantine off most of the time, it encourages spammers to remove your address from their spam lists. To turn off quarantine, just select “Normal (RECOMMENDED)” under the spam settings.

You can always enable quarantine again later if needed, and you can add addresses directly to your whitelist at any time.

The demand for faster home broadband service has skyrocketed as we all find more ways to enjoy the Internet. Downloading movies, gaming and the number of mobile Internet devices being used in the home have an impact on how much bandwidth is used.

Bendbroadband currently offers four levels of Internet service. Our goal is to provide each customer with the opportunity to choose the Internet service level that best meets their individual needs and budget. Each level of service has bandwidth usage allowances, for upstream and for downstream. Bendbroadband monitors bandwidth to help ensure customers receive the quality of service they are paying for. Downstream data is content coming from the Internet to your computer/device. Upstream data is what you send out to the Internet.

There is no additional charge for exceeding your monthly usage allowance. However, doing so will result in an automatic and dramatic slowdown in your Internet service until the first day of the next month when full speed service is restored.

To make you aware of your bandwidth consumption and give you time to avoid a service slowdown, BendBroadband will notify you by email at your crestviewcable.com address if you reach 90% of your monthly usage allowance. That email will be the only way we notify you. If you do not have a crestviewcable.com email address, email us at CVCustomerService@tdstelecom.com or call and we will create one for you.

To avoid a slowdown in service you can consciously reduce your bandwidth consumption for the rest of the month or upgrade to a new level of service to meet your needs. By upgrading, you receive a larger monthly bandwidth allowance and faster Internet speed.

How to Manage Your Bandwidth Usage
Certain activities on the Internet will lead to greater consumption of your usage allowance. For example, downloading or streaming music and videos uses more bandwidth than email or general Web surfing:

  • Streaming a full-length HD movie would use 4 to 5 GBs (gigabytes) of bandwidth. A standard definition movie uses half that amount.
  • Streaming 24 hours of music uses about 1 GB of bandwidth.
  • Sending and receiving thousands of emails, even with attachments, doesn’t use much bandwidth so you probably would not reach your limit.

  3. To Make a one-time payment, fill in the fields under the “One-time Payment” section.

  1. Click the Enroll button under the “AutoPay Setting” on the Pay Bill page.

To view your bill online, Log In to your account (select Online Bill Pay from the My Account/Login menu on crestviewcable.net. The Dashboard screen gives you a snapshot of your account, including your statement balance, current balance, and billing summary.

Why Do I See Partial Charges on My Bill?2018-12-07T17:35:20+00:00

Partial billing (or proration) occurs when you make changes (added or removed) to your services during the billing period. Instead of charging you for the entire month of service, you are only charged for the days you use/receive the service. Dates are listed next to the service line-item on your bill, which indicate which days you were billed for.

Prorated charges often appear on your first bill.  That’s because  in most cases, the day you sign up for service does not align with the start of a billing cycle. As a result, you will be charged for your first month of service as defined by your regular billing cycle, plus each day you had service before your billing cycle began. For example: You’re a new customer whose service gets activated on the 20th of the month. However, your regular billing cycle is the 25th of one month to the 24th or the next month. On your first bill, you’ll see charges for the 20th to the 24th of the current month; and then for charges from the 25th to the 24th of the next month.  If no changes are made to your service, your next bill will show only charges for a whole month, the 25th to the 24th.

Notifies you when a new voicemail message is waiting to be retrieved. There are two methods of notification, Audible and Visual.

Audible MWI: Notifies you in the form of a “stutter dial tone” when a message is waiting to be retrieved.

Visual MWI: Notifies you by triggering a light and/or notice on the display of your telephone when a message is waiting to be retrieved. The Visual MWI requires you to have a compatible telephone.

Your BendBroadband video subscription includes access to networks and programming that are available online. You do not need to be in your home to access.  You can watch TV Everywhere programming from any location in the U.S. as long as you have Internet access. Your status as a BendBroadband customer, and the channel package you subscribe to, determines the programming that is available to you.

How can I access TV Everywhere content?

There are three way to access BendBroadband online content:

  1. From CrestviewCable.net, choose Watch TV Everywhere from the My Account menu.  Then, log in to your BendBroadband Online Account using your BendBroadband user name (BendBroadband-provided email address that ends in @bendbroadband.com, @bendcable.com, @chamberscable.com, or @crestviewcable.net) and password. Once you’re logged in, click TV & Movies in the upper navigation bar. Select the content you want to watch.
  2. Visit Programmer’s websites directly (i.e. ESPN, HBO, nickelodeon). When prompted to choose your TV provider, select BendBroadband (NOT BendBroadband –Crestview Cable). Then, log in using your BendBroadband Online Account credentials (your username is your email address that ends with @crestviewcable.com or @bendbroadband.com and password.)
  3. Watch from an app. Download the app of the content provider that you want to watch (i.e. CBS, MTV, etc.) from the app store that pertains to your device. Select BendBroadband as your TV provider (NOT BendBroadband-Crestview Cable). Then, log in using your BendBroadband Online Account credentials (your username is your email address that ends with @crestviewcable.com or @bendbroadband.com and password.)

 NOTE: If you previously downloaded apps and watched content as a Crestview Cable customer, you’ll need to sign back in as a BendBroadband customer using your BendBroadband Online Account credentials.  Your Crestview Cable sign in will no longer work. “Not Authorized” errors may result.

 If you receive a “Not Authorized” error, you should:

  • Log out of the App and/or re-download.
  • Select BendBroadband (NOT BendBroadband-Crestview Cable) as your provider.
  • Enter your BendBroadband Online Account user name and password.

There is no limit to the number of devices you can use. However, you are limited by the networks on how many you can use at the same time.

Almost all watchTVeverywhere programs are available on all devices (PC, laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android phone). This depends largely on the individual TV networks and some of them have not made their programs available on all devices.

Once you are registered, you can view any TV everywhere program as long as you are a subscriber to that network. It may take several hours for the information to be updated if you change your subscription level.

Why aren’t all programs available?2018-10-16T15:45:36+00:00

A television network doesn’t necessarily own all of the rights to all of the programs they transmit. A television network may have the right to transmit a movie, but only to TV sets, not on TV everywhere. So, once again, it depends on the television network.

Why Do I Get a Not Authorized Error when I try to watch TV Everywhere Programming?2018-10-16T15:45:46+00:00

You’re getting a Not Authorized error because you haven’t selected the correct provider and/or you’re not using the correct credentials. In most cases this is because you are a BendBroadband customer who was previously served by Crestview Cable.  (Crestview Cable’s TV Everywhere programming was provided through a different source than BendBroadband’s service.)

Now, you’ll need to use your BendBroadband Online Account credentials to log in (authenticate) to see your TV Everywhere programming. And, you’ll need to make sure you’ve selected BendBroadband as your provider (not BendBroadband-Crestview Cable). Click here to learn more about setting up a BendBroadband Online Account. 

Any apps previously installed on your mobile devices to access your TV Everywhere programming probably won’t work until you’ve re-logged in.   In some cases, you may need to delete and then re-install your programmer’s app.
